Alireza Shaabani

I finished the bachelor’s degree in physics at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 2009 and started my master in solid state physics at Sharif University of Technology and defended my thesis entitled as Investigation of optical properties of Titanium Nitride nanoparticles prepared by Arc discharge method in the liquid Nitrogen. I came back to FUM for pursuing PhD degree in solid state physics in 2013, and worked on the optical properties of Titanium nitride’s photonic nanostructures, including split ring resonators and surface Plasmon polariton systems, by using Finite-Difference Time-Domain method (FDTD) and DFT calculations. Currently, I am guest researcher in Biplab Sanyal’s group at Uppsala University with focus on double perovskitemultiferroics and their applications in the optoelectronics systems.
